How is RAPIDroads different than traditional methods?

RAPIDroads is quicker and less expensive than traditional methods of secondary and temporary roads and full access road bases.  RAPIDroads will increase your temporary roads life during your phases of construction.  It will increase the stability of your road base.  RAPIDroads helps soil achieve maximum compaction and binds the soil to make a permanent bond.  RAPIDroads will help prevent potholes, increase wheel load strength, resist moisture and prevent frost heaving.  All summed up a road made with RAPIDroads will last longer with less maintenance therefore saving time and money.

How is RAPIDroads applied?

RAPIDroads is added to the water truck used on the job site.  Just three pieces of equipment is needed to build the perfect road base using RAPIDroads.  You can download this information in our User’s Guide or e-mail us for further technical information.

Does RAPIDroads have any environmental impact?

RAPIDroads is non-toxic.  It requires no special handling equipment and no special containment procedures as required with toxic and/or corrosive agents.  It does not irritate skin tissue and causes no rashes or burns.  RAPIDroads contains no combustible materials, is non-explosive and can used near open flames.  It is non-gaseous and can be stored in poorly ventilated areas.  It will not harm humans, animals, fish or vegetation under normal use and is totally biodegradable.

How much money can I save with RAPIDroads?

RAPIDroads is extremely cost-effective.  In most cases, you will save on the importation of materials to the job site as well as long term cost savings due to the reduction of maintenance.

You can use RAPIDroads to build a stronger base before the asphalt or concrete topping is put on.

Is RAPIDroads certified by the U.S. Department of Transportation?

We currently have preliminary approvals from various Department of Transportations for Dust Control including California and Washington State.  We have preliminary approvals for soil stabilization in the state of Utah.

How long should I expect my RAPIDroads and/or road base to last?

RAPIDroads treated roads have been in use for over 7 years, however, the longevity of a road is a function of several factors:

• Climate conditions such as temperature ranges and rainfall
• Types of soils used in construction
• Road design - crowning, drainage and other engineered parameters
• Type of vehicular traffic, speed and degree of usage
• Wearing surface applied (if any)
• General maintenance frequency and quality

RAPIDroads treated roads retain their integrity over longer periods than previously experienced by road departments and require at least 50% less road maintenance. RAPIDroads treated road bases simply last longer.
